1911 Violet Jellyfish Special Edition Fountain pen by Sailor – a marine model for escapist writing
Did you know that there are more than 3000 species of jellyfish? This fascinating and majestic marine animal, which has been around for 650 million years, inspired Sailor to create its new Demonstrator. The Japanese brand has created five brightly coloured fountain pens with metashine (a shiny dust inside the resin), each featuring a different jellyfish species. Made of resin, the 1911 Violet Jellyfish is violet in colour. When the light shines through it, its brightness is exceptional.
Its transparency will allow you to assess the ink level in the converter or cartridge. Its trims are gold rhodium plated: two fine rings, a beautifully engraved central ring on the cap and a clip allowing you to hang your fountain pen on your jacket pocket or notebook.
Its 14-carat gold nib, beautifully engraved with the famous brand’s logo among other things, is available in three sizes: F, MF, M, B and MS.
You will receive your 1911 Violet Jellyfish Special Edition fountain pen by Sailor with its converter. It will be delivered to you in a beautiful navy coloured box.

Le stylo s’écrit bien avec un débit d’encre constant. Par contre la plume (MF) a beaucoup de feedback (c’est bien connu des plumes de Sailor à priori) et est moins douce que son homologue de Pilot, ce qui rend l’expérience à l’écriture moins agréable.
Un grand merci d’avoir laissé un avis si détaillé !
La plume 14k chez Sailor est une plume rigide, ce qui n’est pas le cas de celle de Pilot qui est plutôt souple. La sensation sera donc différente.
