1911S Demonstrator/Gold Fountain pen by Sailor – an exceptional model for incredible writing

If elegance were to be expressed in a writing instrument, it would undoubtedly be the Demonstrator 1911S from Sailor. At first glance, the design appears to be uncluttered, but this is only an impression. If you look closely at the fountain pen, you will notice a number of small details.

The body, made of transparent resin, reveals a succession of vertical stripes of great effect and, if one looks closely, one will also discover small geometrical structures at the top. At the top of the barrel, the attentive observer will also discover a magnifying glass-like finish, a feature that will also be found at the top of the cap. If one looks closely at the cap, one will also discover large facets inside and a simple, but very clever device that prevents the nib from drying out.

Beyond these initial observations, we find the brand’s own characteristics: its magnificent gold-plated trims, including two fine rings and a ring on the cap on which the name of the brand and its year of creation have been engraved. As with all Sailor fountain pens, the screw thread of the section is made of gold-plated metal.
