Kurogane 110th Anniversary Limited Edition Fountain Pen from Sailor

For the 110th anniversary of the brand, Sailor has created a breathtakingly beautiful fountain pen in a limited-edition of 1100 pieces. The Kurogane’s imposing size and unusual diameter immediately catch the eye with its breathtaking design. It is made entirely of stainless steel and is coated in black using a new electrolytic colouring technology. In addition to the exceptional depth and brilliance of the colour, this process gives the fountain pen protection and durability. The top of the barrel and the section, also black, are made of resin. These two parts are refined to create a harmonious aesthetic when the fountain pen is without its cap. The serial number of the fountain pen is laser engraved on the top of the barrel.

The cap, which is perfectly aligned with the barrel when the pen is closed, has been incredibly well crafted and offers some magnificent details. Firstly, it has a central band with an IP and nickel-chrome finish on which the brand name is engraved in line with its new visual identity. The latter is itself highlighted by two thin rings on either side (one of which is on the bottom of the body), in silver. At the top of the cap is a beautifully stylized thick ring engraved with the brand’s creation date, 1911. At the top of the cap is a magnifying dome in which the brand’s logo, the famous anchor, is embossed in yellow gold on a yellow gold background.

The two-tone nib is made of 21-carat gold plated 24 carat gold and is available in F, MF, M and B. It is beautifully engraved with the Sailor logo and the words “110th”.

The pen comes in a beautiful Japanese chestnut wood box with a beautiful hemp Kimono in ecru color to store it for everyday use. You will also find two ink cartridges and a polishing cloth.
