Mitho Oronero fountain pen by Maiora – a majestic model for grandiose writing
Despite its apparent sobriety, the Mitho Oronero is a majestic model. The brand has focused all the fountain pen’s strengths on its palladium-plated brass trims: fine rings and a roller clip. As for the superb central ring at the bottom of the cap, it is in solid 925 sterling silver. The relief design, featuring a high-relief engraving inspired by the ancient design of Pompeii, is obtained by lost-wax casting, an ancient goldsmithing technique, and is hand-finished and polished.
The Mitho Oronero is made entirely from hand-turned black resin, it has conical ends. It is filled using its converter, which has a luxurious little detail: its knob is made of metal. Maiora’s little fantasy: you can access it without removing the entire body. Simply unscrew and remove the top part of the body.
The number of the Mitho Oronero has been engraved on the bottom of the cap.
The nib:
Maiora has equipped its model with a palladium-plated stainless steel nib manufactured by Jowo, beautifully engraved with its logo, and offers it to you in sizes EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, Stub 1.5, as well as in its flexible version in sizes EF and F.

Ce stylo est tout à la fois un magnifique objet et un magnifique instrument d’écriture. Je ne me lasse pas de le regarder. De taille et de section importantes, sa prise en main est pourtant très aisée, car le stylo est relativement léger. Son système de remplissage, notamment en dévissant le sommet du corps est très original et donne un petit plus à ce stylo. Quant à la plume elle glisse merveilleusement bien sur le papier. Je l’ai réceptionné hier midi et en 24h j’ai déjà bleui de nombreuses pages de mon carnet, toujours avec le même plaisir. Je ne connaissais pas la marque MAIORA. C’est une très belle découverte.

Comme toujours un superbe objet qui me renforce dans l’idée que l’écriture, accompagnée d’un bel objet est le début d’une redécouverte de soi même, la possibilité de réécrire le monde et par la même de mettre de côté, pour un temps, un monde de plus en plus dématérialisé…
