Sailor has unveiled a new limited edition collection for our pleasure: the Seasonal Festivals. In the days when the Japanese used the lunar calendar, there were five special days in the year called “Sekku”, Seasonal Festivals. On these five special days, people held very important traditional events each year. The five festivals were celebrated on 7 January, 3 March, 5 May, 7 July and 9 September.

To pay tribute to this tradition, Sailor has created 5 beautiful boxes. When you open them, you will find a beautiful Professional Gear slim fountain pen in a new pastel colour, with matching Shikiori ink and converter.

The Sasa model is a beautiful sky blue colour. It celebrates the day of 7 July named “Tanabata, 七夕” : “A wish for dreams to come true“.

Made of resin, its trims are, as it should be for the Japanese brand, gold-plated. The model has a thin ring at the top of the body and, at the section, what might appear to be a second ring, but is in fact the upper part of the thread. The connoisseur will recognise the famous central band on the cap on which the brand name and year of creation have been engraved. We are delighted to find the famous anchor, the brand’s logo, at the top of the cap.

Its beautiful 14 carat gold plated 24 carat gold nib is available in three sizes: MF, M and MS.
