39+1 Anniversary Limited Edition fountain pen by Delta – a luxurious model for dazzling writing
For its comeback in 2022, Delta has created a fountain pen that combines luxury, originality and innovation, in a limited edition of 399. The 39+1 Anniversary is made from celluloid, a plant-based material that offers excellent resistance to impact and abrasion. For the occasion, Delta has recovered this celluloid from its materials archives. Against a black background, shades of brown and light brown oscillating towards gold intersect and blend. The name of the fountain pen celebrates the 40 years since the brand was founded in 1982.
An innovative system:
The 39+1 Anniversary boasts an elegant and highly original design. Added to this is the splendid conical shape of the top of the body, which contains an innovative system patented by the brand: the write balance. Unscrew the cone and you’ll find a small 2.5 g gold-plated metal weight. This brings the balance to the back of the fountain pen, giving your hand greater control over the movement of the fountain pen and therefore over your writing. You can also remove this weight: the balance will then shift forward, giving you a more relaxed writing experience.
The trims of the 39+1 Anniversary are almost all gold-plated: a thin ring and external thread on the body engraved with the model number, as well as the magnificent ring engraved with the anniversary year, not forgetting the superb roller clip engraved with the brand name. The ring at the top of the cap is in vermeil (gold-plated sterling silver). It features a high-relief engraving inspired by the ancient design of Pompeii, a theme typical of Delta fountain pens of the past.
To fill your 39+1 Anniversary, you can choose between the cartridge, the converter (which screws on) and also the dropper system that allows you to put 5ml of ink in the barrel.
The nib:
Delta has equipped its model with an 18-carat gold nib, beautifully engraved with its logo, and offers it in the following sizes: EF, F, M, B and Stub 1.1, as well as in its flexible 14-carat gold version in sizes EF and F.
