To enter the competition, we invite you to subscribe to our newsletter. By doing so, you will also receive our Fountain Pen Guide.

2. On the trail of the mystery word

The second step is to solve 5 riddles.

Each one will lead you to a specific fountain pen featured on our website.

Hidden within each description is a small nib, guarding a letter.

Once you have identified all 5 letters, simply place them in the correct order to reveal the mystery word.

This mystery word will allow you to validate your entry for the prize draw by completing the form below.

Riddle no. 1

I reign without a crown.

My title places me above my peers,

yet it is not my rank that draws the eye.

My robe seems to have captured the Milky Way,

as though a shower of stars had settled upon me.

At my tip, a majestic blade can nevertheless bend beneath the gentle touch of the hand,

before returning to its shape and leaving its mark.

Riddle no. 2

I have nothing to hide.

My body reveals what others carefully keep hidden,
in a play of transparency where blue meets gold.

Details that would normally go unnoticed
become, in my case, an integral part of the spectacle.

At my tip, gold is delicately pierced like fine lace,
while my clip pays tribute to a famous landmark in Florence, my birthplace.

Riddle no. 3

I bear a name that speaks of what endures.

My story began in the United States,
in a house that helped define the golden age of fountain pens.

I was designed in the footsteps of a great predecessor,
whose three letters are still familiar to collectors.

On my body, lines seek one another, meet, then drift apart,
creating a steady rhythm.

I am not a copy, but rather the one who came to carry the torch.

The past has left me its heritage.

Riddle no. 4

I bear the name of a man who sought the causes of illness in nature,

when others were still looking to the gods for answers.

The humors, the seasons, and plants were among his guides.

His name has endured through the centuries.

Riddle no. 5

I was born from the meeting of the sky and geometry.

The first gave me its colour,
the second designed my adornment.

On me, lines repeat, cross and echo one another

without ever merging.

I am proof that precision can, too, be elegant.

The house that created me bears a noble title.
