The story behind the brand :
The Visconti brand was created in 1988. It chose to establish itself in Florence, cradle of the Renaissance and symbol of Italian craftsmanship.
Driven from the outset by a strong desire to innovate and stand out in an already highly competitive environment, it chose captivating designs, high-quality materials and bright colours. As a result, the Florentine brand quickly established its reputation and was soon recognised by fountain pen lovers and collectors. In just a few years, Visconti became a benchmark in its field.
Its research and development efforts led to the emblematic patents for the Power Filler filling system in 1993 and the Power Filler Double Reservoir in 1998, as well as the travel inkwell in 1997.
In the early 2000s, Visconti designed a clip that would become iconic. Inspired by the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence, it symbolises the point of contact between two millennia.
In 2010, Visconti created a collection that is still the most popular in its history: Homo Sapiens. As well as writing instruments, the company has ventured into the lifestyle sector, creating top-of-the-range collections of watches and leather goods.
Today, Visconti is the fountain pen brand focused on a lifestyle dedicated to beauty, art and the pleasure of self-expression. True to its original vocation, in 2024 it registered a new patent: the Galileo Double Filler system.
