The expert’s opinion: only Visconti could have achieved such a feat: taking up the challenge and succeeding in creating resins in the image of Van Gogh’s paintings. It’s not just the result in terms of colour fidelity that impresses me, it’s also that the emotion that emanates from each painting is reproduced in each fountain pen. The magnetic closure of the cap is most delightful and the brass section is very pleasant to the touch. The trims are absolutely superb – I always admire the design and aesthetics of the clip. The engraving on the nib is particularly successful, reminding us that Visconti owes the creation of his fountain pen to a painter. As for the glide of the nib, I was as surprised as I was delighted… With its slight suppleness, it fulfills its role brilliantly. I put the Van Gogh down again… already looking forward to having it close to me and being able to pick it up again later.

The Florentine brand pays tribute to one of the greatest artists of the 19th century: the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh. The body and cap of the model are made of high-quality resin, with 18 facets that highlight the nuances found in the painting Wheatfield with crows. They also contribute greatly to the fountain pen’s luminosity.
The trims are in gold-plated brass. Firstly, the clip: as well as being articulated, it displays the brand name, which has been laser-engraved. Then there’s the central ring: superbly crafted, it’s engraved with the artist’s name and the brand name. Finally, the finial: at the top of the cap, we find the Visconti logo. As this model is a special edition, the brand has engraved the serial number on the top of the cap.
The section is in gold-plated brass and all the threads are in metal.
Visconti has endowed its creation with a magnificent gold-plated stainless steel nib engraved with its name and, above all, with Van Gogh’s handwritten signature. It comes in three sizes: F, M and B.
