Description
Travel inkwell by Visconti – an ingenious accessory for all fountain pen lovers
This revolutionary invention from the Florentine brand, patented in 1997, allows you to carry a large quantity of ink in complete safety. Whether you’re in the office or travelling, you can now fill the reservoir of your writing instruments quickly and easily, with a touch of elegance made in Italy! Its 5.5 ml capacity means you can refill your fountain pen 3 to 6 times (depending on the capacity of its reservoir).
The travel inkwell is made from resin, brushed stainless steel and, on the inside where the cap will fit, rubber for a perfect seal. As well as being extremely practical, it also looks great. The metal part is engraved with the name of the product as well as the brand, stylistically.
You can use it with fountain pens with a section diameter (at its thinnest point) of between 9.5 and 13 mm (e.g. Sailor Professional Gear Slim and King of Pens, Lamy Safari, Pelikan M1000, most Visconti models). It is not compatible with Delta’s Dolce Vita Oversize and Pilot’s Capless fountain pens, or with vintage models with a rubber reservoir or lever filler.
Detailed instructions in several languages are included so that you can use the travel inkwell with complete peace of mind.

- remove the cap by twisting slightly while pulling
- insert your fountain pen into the travel inkwell as far as it will go: the entire nib and part of the section

For models with a vacuum system (Custom 823, Homo Sapiens), we advise you to hold the travel inkwell firmly in the middle with your full hand and not to pull out the entire piston rod, to avoid exerting too much pressure. Pull the rod out a third of the way and move it back and forth a few times so that the ink fills the reservoir.
