The expert’s opinion: I’m glad to discover this Japanese paper. It’s extraordinarily soft and very pleasant to the touch. The brand compares it to silk? I would even say satin… My pen glides along beautifully and doesn’t seem to want to stop. The paper respects the thickness of my nib (a Laban EF) and enhances the ink it deposits (Edelstein Aquamarine by Pelikan). If you like excellent paper, you’ll be delighted.

The notebook C.D. premium A5 graph by Apica is the luxury version of the C.D. notebook. The letters C and D stand for Classical Design. It is A5 format (21 x 14.8 cm) and contains 192 pages.
The Japanese brand has chosen a soft cover made from “Tsuzure” paper, a special deep-coloured paper impregnated with discreet glitter reminiscent of stardust. Its classic design and superb drawing of a traditional ornamental frame are reminiscent of old book covers. The name of the notebook is embossed in a beautiful silver colour, as is the word “Premium”, this time in gold leaf. The Smyth stitched binding allows the notebook to be opened flat, making it easy to take notes.
The Japanese company Oji Paper Co manufactures the acid-free paper used in Apica notebooks. White in colour, it is made up of sheets with a sewn finish to ensure the longevity of your notebook. You can handle it as you please and carry it wherever you like. The stitching, which is almost invisible, is white; in a few places, it matches the colour of the cover to underline the elegance of the notebook. The brand compares its exceptionally soft paper to silk. You can write or draw on it with a fountain pen, calligraphy nib or pencil. It weighs 86.5g/m2. Its graph print gives you complete creative freedom. There is a blank index on the first page that you can fill in.
Apica understands the importance of the quality of the paper used when writing with a pen, and has therefore engraved “Choose the paper like you would like a good pen” on the cover.
