The M400 was first introduced in 1950. In the 1980s, Pelikan named it Souverän, even though the Germans already called it the “Stresemann”, after the secretary of state of the Weimar Republic, known for his striped suits. The success of this model led to the decision to produce different sizes, of which the M800 is twice the larger version.

This special edition has been designed for those who appreciate innovation and aesthetics. The fountain pen combines a polished black acrylic body with a finely laser-engraved palladium-plated stainless steel metal coating. Its geometric pattern creates a unique contrast of surfaces and textures, with a modern, industrial character. The cap, section and upper body are made of resin.

Beyond its bold design, Pelikan remains true to its legendary craftsmanship. Its piston mechanism ensures a smooth ink flow, while the transparent smoky black resin body allows you to see the ink level.

The various rings, the top of the cap and the clip are palladium-plated. The magnificent nib with the brand logo is made of 18-carat gold with rhodium plating. It is available in sizes EF, F, M and B.
