The grip may be disconcerting – the clip is upside down – but you will soon get used to it. Capless Midnight Blue Fountain Pen by Pilot – an ingenious model for clever writing
First created in 1963 after 6 years of fabulous engineering, the Pilot Capless continues to make its mark both with its original design and its ingenious, time-tested technology. The complex precision mechanism with which it is equipped and which allows the nib to extend and retract is undoubtedly not unrelated to its immense success.
Without a cap – hence the name – and with a push button, it can be operated with one hand. A first press and the nib is revealed, a second and it disappears inside the body, activating at the same time a tiny shutter which, by closing, protects it from any impurity and prevents it from drying out.
Made of copper and brass with a matte blue lacquer finish, the body is made up of two parts, both of which are decorated with a thin ring and joined together by a metal screw thread. A larger ring at the end of the fountain pen foreshadows the push button. Its unmistakable clip is located on the grip and tapers towards the nib so that it can be held without any difficulty.
The Capless features black stainless steel trims.
Its nib made of titanium plated 18-carat gold is elegantly slim, which accentuates the aesthetics of the Capless. It is available in three sizes: F, M and B.
To fill the fountain pen, simply unscrew the body part at the ring to reveal the converter attached to the fountain pen. The converter can also be replaced by a cartridge.

Quelle couleur sublime ce stylo plume ! Très agréable en main (le touché est doux), il m’accompagne au travail pour la prise de note ce qui est plus pratique pour moi que d’enlever et remettre le bouchon à chaque fois.
Ayant déjà un Sailor en plume M, j’ai tenté la plume F par curiosité… elle est parfaite pour moi, car m’a permis de réduire l’épaisseur de mon trait sans que ce dernier ne soit trop fin. La plume, en plus de ses qualités techniques est visuellement très belle.
Nous sommes très heureux que le Capless vous plaise autant qu’il répond à vos besoins !

Un stylo de qualité et admirable ; on pourra notamment lui attribuer une bonne prise en main dans cette configuration (bleu nuit légèrement satiné) et une plume M qui accompagne sans cesse votre style d’écriture. Bref un stylo à recommander.
