Falcon Burgundy Fountain pen by Pilot – a stylish fountain pen for flexible writing
The Falcon is recognisable among all the brand’s models thanks to the special shape of its nib, which is reminiscent of a bird of prey. The latter accentuates the slender aspect of the model, like a hawk diving on its prey. Made of lacquered steel and burgundy in colour, the model is equipped with stainless steel trims that can be found on its various rings, particularly at the top of the body and the cap.
The Falcon’s sobriety is concentrated on its incomparably supple nib. It will offer you an incredible smoothness in writing and will also allow you to play on the thickness of the line. Made of rhodium-plated 14-carat gold, the nib is available in four sizes: EF, F, M and B.
The Falcon is supplied with a converter and a black ink cartridge. Of course, you can discover it in an elegant box.

Beautiful pen, the burgundy colour makes it more exquisite. Its clip itself is a piece of art. My nib is an S-M, soft-medium, which indeed is buttery smooth, my smoothest nib in my collection.
The medium nib is a bit more thicker than usual Japanese M nibs, but it brings out ink shading better than fine nibs. As for line variation, an F or EF nib would be better, I think. The difference between the normal and pressed lines probably would be more obvious.
Also, good quality, fountain pen friendly paper is required.
All in all it’s a joy writing with it, glides on the paper effortlessly.
Many thanks for sharing so many details with us!
We are very happy of your satisfaction with the incredible Falcon :)
The M nib seems to be thicker because it has a flexible nib, which means that even if you don’t put pressure, the nib tines will spread a bit, making the line a bit thicker.
My favorite nib in the world
