The Ginza district was home to a workshop that minted silver coins for the Shogunate during the Edo period. The “in” in Ginza means “silver”. During the Meiji era, Western culture spread rapidly and the Ginza district became a centre of cutting-edge Japanese fashion. Note that the line of the Zoom fountain pen is thick.
