Esterbrook has created its latest Estie as a tribute to Alfons Mucha. A major Czech painter and illustrator of the Art Nouveau period and a pioneer of advertising, Alfons Mucha loved to celebrate women through his designs, including film and theatre icons such as Sarah Bernhardt. Among the rich tones of his colour palette emerges an Eau du Nil blue which he used extensively to draw skies and waves of water that served as the backdrop for the portraits of his muses.

The Estie Nouveau Bleu is made of high quality resin, carefully polished to give it all its brilliance and to sublimate this magnificent blue colour. in which the dominant blue variations are discreetly sprinkled with light brown, offer a palette of nuances that are most beautiful depending on the orientation of the fountain pen in the light.

Its trims are yellow gold plated: a thin ring at the top of the section and a wider ring at the bottom of the barrel, not forgetting the clip that allows you to hang your fountain pen on your jacket or notebook. The ingenious cushion cap closure ensures that the nib does not dry out when the pen is closed. The stylized brand name has been engraved on the cap and on the nib.

The nib is made of yellow gold-plated stainless steel by German brand Jowo No. 6 and is available in seven sizes: EF, F, M, B, as well as the special nibs Stub 1.1, flexible EF and F.
