The Ultra Ogiva collection features, and this is not a usual occurrence for the Italian brand, an ogive-shaped cap. For its Wind model, Maiora has chosen a superb resin in a range of blue colours, embellished with brown and white streaks and gold powder.

Made exclusively from hand-turned solid resin bars, the Ultra Ogiva Golden Age 2.0 Wind is adorned with gold-plated brass trims: fine rings and a roller clip. The superb central ring at the bottom of the cap is made of gold-plated (vermeil) 925 thousandths sterling silver. Its design, featuring a high-relief engraving inspired by the ancient design of Pompeii, is obtained by lost-wax casting, an ancient goldsmithing technique, finished by hand and polished. The number and the name of the model has been engraved on the bottom of the cap.

You can fill your fountain pen using its converter, which can be replaced with a cartridge. You can also fill the fountain pen body directly using a pipette or syringe.

The nib:

Maiora has equipped this model with its iconic ‘The First’ nib, made of gold-plated and palladium-plated stainless steel and manufactured by JoWo. Its stylised engraving evokes the movement of waves or the meandering of a river. The subtle contrast between the brushed palladium and polished gold gives the whole a remarkable visual presence. The brand offers it to you in sizes EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1 Stub 1.5 as well as in its flexible version EF and F.
