With the Homo Sapiens Nebula collection, Visconti draws inspiration from the wonders of the universe and invites writers on a journey among the stars. Each model evokes the vast clouds of gas and cosmic dust where stars are born, fascinating regions where matter, light and time come together to create something new.
The collection debuts with two interpretations inspired by iconic nebulae: Eagle and Orion.
The Eagle edition pays tribute to the famous Eagle Nebula, home to the legendary “Pillars of Creation.” A true stellar nursery, it symbolizes the gradual transformation of cosmic chaos into light. Its marbled resin combines deep turquoise tones with shades of green and brown, enhanced by shimmering silver highlights that recall the movement and density of interstellar clouds.
Through this collection, Visconti celebrates creativity, discovery and the enduring connection between writing and the infinite beauty of the cosmos.
The cap is secured by Visconti’s patented hook safety locking system, known as the “bayonet” system. A slight twisting motion is all it takes to close the fountain pen, while opening it simply requires pushing the cap downward and gently turning it.
Beautiful gold-plated brass accents enhance the elegance of the fountain pen. First, the articulated clip features the brand name engraved by laser. The central ring is exquisitely crafted and engraved with the model name as well as the serial number. Finally, a cap top medallion proudly displays the Visconti logo.
The fountain pen has a vacuum filling system. To fill the fountain pen, unscrew and pull the knob at the top of the barrel: the metal plunger extends from the reservoir to its stop point (seal). Next, dip the fountain pen into the ink bottle and perform the reverse operation, pushing the piston back into the barrel (before screwing the knob back in). This is when the air-ink exchange takes place and the reservoir (1.5 ml capacity) fills (3/4 full).
Visconti has equipped its creation with a superbly engraved 18-carat pink gold nib. It is available in five sizes: EF, F, M, B and S (Stub 1.3)
