The expert’s opinion: true to its high aesthetic standards, Maiora has created a beautiful red resin, iridescent in places and changing to raspberry when the sun’s rays hit it. We’re back to the Maiora brand’s unrivalled expertise and respect for authenticity made in Italy. The Neapolitan brand was created by Delta co-founder Nino Marino, so it can draw on over 40 years’ experience. As with all Maiora piston models, we love the little ‘click’ sound the piston makes when it reaches the top of the barrel, telling you that your fountain pen is full. As for the Futura’s stainless steel nib, it will win you over with its smoothness.

For once, the Neapolitan brand is offering us a fountain pen with a delicate touch in its Futura collection. Made exclusively from hand-turned solid bars of resin, the model’s elegance shines through the brilliance of its black resin and the shining of its red colour. This luxurious fountain pen has tapered ends and is adorned with palladium-plated brass trims: fine rings that participate in the Futura’s refinement, and a clip with a roller so you can easily hang your fountain pen in your notebook pocket or on your jacket.
A transparent window lets you see the ink level, as the fountain pen has an integrated piston filling mechanism. And there’s an original twist: the upper part of the barrel can be unscrewed and removed completely. A superb metal thread reveals itself and you have access to the metal plunger button, both palladium-plated.
Maiora has equipped its model with a palladium-plated stainless steel nib manufactured by Jowo, beautifully engraved with its logo, and offers it to you in sizes EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1, Stub 1.5 as well as in its flexible version in sizes EF and F.
