The expert’s opinion: apart from its exceptional design and its fine and beautiful engravings, the main attraction of this pen is its weight. However, this does not bother the user, as the object is perfectly balanced. The embedded nib may be surprising at first, especially if you compare it to most pens, but it is easy to fall in love with it because it is so easy to write with. The flow of ink is regular and the play of variations and pressure confirms the quality of the pen. As this is a solid silver pen, it will tend to become a little dull over time, but you can rest assured: a simple cotton cloth will quickly restore its original shine.

Silver Tiger Fountain pen by Pilot – a traditional model for authentic writing
The Pilot Silver is the epitome of elegance, finesse and purity in a truly extraordinary design. Made of solid silver, this fabulously designed pen has a bullet-shaped silhouette. The object itself is a true work of art, thanks in particular to the perfection of its polish and the extreme finesse of the various motifs engraved on the barrel and cap.
To carry out this meticulous work, the craftsman begins by drawing a pattern on the body and cap with masking ink. Then they expose them to the etching liquid to make the design penetrate. The etching fluid eats away at the areas not protected by the masking ink and forms the pattern. Both elements are then exposed to a sulphurizing liquid to be heated and polished until the surface of the solid silver stands out.
A force of nature, king of the wild beasts, the tiger is considered a protective force in homes and temples to ward off bad luck and give courage. Courageous and determined, it is an example to follow. But the most valiant warrior must be humble. According to an ancient Japanese proverb, the strongest must protect the weakest and in return, the weakest must serve the strongest.
The cap of the Silver is fitted with the brand’s characteristic rhodium-plated ballpoint clip.
The rhodium-plated 18-carat gold nib is set into the resin grip, giving it an elegant look. It is is available in three sizes: F, M and B.
