Special Ultra Ogiva Racing Fountain Pen by Maiora – a limited competition edition

As a tribute to the world of motor racing, Maiora has created a fountain pen in a superb matt black resin. The Neapolitan brand wisely chose the ogive shape for this theme, which reminds us of speed and going beyond limits. The model is embellished here and there with the colour red: a resin ring at the bottom of the cap, a transparent window at the bottom of the barrel, not forgetting the ebonite feed tube.

Made exclusively from hand-turned solid resin bars, the Special Ultra Ogiva is adorned with ruthenium-plated brass trims: fine rings and a roller clip. The superb central ring at the bottom of the cap is made of ruthenium-plated 925 thousandths sterling silver. Its design, featuring a high-relief engraving inspired by the ancient design of Pompeii, is obtained by lost-wax casting, an ancient goldsmithing technique, finished by hand and polished.

The Racing is equipped with an integrated plunger filling mechanism that allows you to fill it in a jiffy. The red window lets you see how much ink is left in the reservoir.

Maiora has chosen for its model a ruthenium-plated 14-carat gold nib in size 8 made by Jowo, beautifully engraved with the chequered flag design, and offers it to you in sizes EF, F, M, B.
